7 MAINTENANCE
Reading glass and rollers
Clean the reading glass and rollers frequently to ensure the quality of transmitted
images and copies. Rotate the received document tray back, open the operation panel
by squeezing the operation panel release on the right side of the operation panel
(marked "PULL OPEN"), and clean the parts as shown below.
Wipe the reading glass, white
backplate, and rollers with a soft cloth.
•• Make sure that all dirt and stains (such
as correcting fluid) are removed, as
these will cause vertical lines on trans-
mitted images and copies.

Wipe the external parts and surface of the machine with a dry cloth.
Caution!

Do not use benzene or thinner. These solvents may damage or discolor the machine.
