Using PC Cards
Understanding the Meaning of Icons
The PC Card Director uses various icons to show you the status of
the PCMCIA slots and the type of PC Card installed.
A Help button is available on most PC Card Director menu screens.
To obtain additional information for each screen, click on this button.
Status Icons
Icon DOS Message Meaning
Empty No PC Card is installed in the
slot.
— A PC Card is installed.
OK
Ready The PC Card in the slot is ready
to be used.
Not Ready The PC Card is not ready and
cannot be used.
Non Removal The PC Card cannot be removed.
