Exercise 10 – Classify the words.

You have to assist the police. You are asked to describe a person as accurately as

possible. In the following list you will find words to characterize the face, nose, eyes and

hair of a person.

a) Group the words under the four headings.

b) Then select typical characteristics of a criminal person and of a kind young girl.

plain, blue, long, fair, frizzy, fine, glossy, flat, dreamy, beautiful, ruddy, purple,

pleasant, pretty, wiry, bobbed, coarse, long, swarthy, shifty, pale, hazel, short,
