Emergency Power-Off Switches

9490 and SD-3 Unit Emergency Switch

Note: Use the Unit Emergency switch only in an emergency.

See Figure 2-8 for the location of the

Unit Emergency switch on the rear of the

cartridge drive.

Pressing this switch immediately powers off the cartridge drive and all

controller transport units.

Note: This switch starts an uncontrolled power off and might cause a loss of

data.

See the instructions at “9490 and SD-3 Cartridge Drive” on page 3-8.
