Da alle rostfreien Stähle mehr oder we-

niger zu bestimmten Korrosionsarten

neigen, die unter Umständen zu einem

plötzlichen Versagen der Ring-Verbin-

dung durch Sprödbruch führen können,

müssen bei der Anwendung die spezifi-

schen Eigenheiten der Materialien unter

Einfluß korrosiver Medien unbedingt be-

achtet werden.

Die Gefahr einer Spannungskorrosion

kann durch eine Reduktion der Vor-

spannung gemindert werden. Dabei

werden die Nuttiefen so gewählt, daß

die Ringe ohne oder nur mit geringer

Vorspannung in der Nut sitzen.

Neben der Berücksichtigung der Her-

stellerangaben, die im allgemeinen nur

auf Laborversuchen beruhen, sollten in

jedem Falle Betriebsversuche unter

Praxisbedingungen durchgeführt wer-

den.

Hierfür ist es nicht unbedingt erforder-

lich, daß die später benötigte Ring-

ausführung verwendet wird, sondern es

kann ein sofort verfügbares Befesti-

gungselement aus dem Seeger-Stan-

dard-Sortiment eingesetzt werden. Im

Standard-Sortiment von Seeger-Orbis

sind eine Vielzahl der Ringe nach DIN

re of the ring assembly due to brittle frac-

ture, it is absolutely necessary to pay at-

tention to the specific characteristics of

these Materials under the influence of

corrosive media when in use.

The risk of stress corrosion can be

eliminated by reducing the tension.

Therefore the depths of the grooves

should be designed in such a way

that the rings are fit without or only

with a very low pretension.

In addition to paying attention to manu-

facturers’ data, generally based only on

laboratory experiments, practical expe-

riments should be carried out in all ca-

ses under practical conditions.

At the same time, it is not absolutely ne-

cessary to use the ring version needed

later and an immediately available re-

taining system from Seeger’s standard

range can be used instead. The stan-

dard range includes a large number of

rings to DIN 471/472 and DIN 6799 con-
